The Farragut Museum gears up to welcome the community back through its doors on Saturday, May 31. A ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. will be just the beginning of a day steeped in history and celebration. The event, as announced by the Town of Farragut, promises to engage attendees with historical presentations and the charm of a musical rendition.
According to the official announcement on the Town of Farragut's website, prominent figures will grace the occasion with their presence. Vice Mayor Scott Meyer, UT History Professor Christopher Magra, and Frank Galbraith, a local historian, are set to contribute to the narrative tapestry of the day with speeches. Additionally, members of Girl Scout Troops 20627 and 20391 will provide a vocal backdrop to history with their readings.
The cultural milieu is further enriched with the inclusion of music, as violinist Haley Reasoner will perform, offering attendees both a sonic and educational journey. Moreover, it's not just the soul that will be catered to, but the palette as well, with light refreshments available for those who partake in the tour of the museum post-celebration.
