
Seattle was rocked by a fatal shooting last night in the heart of Downtown, leaving one suspect dead and two others seriously injured. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the violence erupted near 1st Avenue and Union Street at approximately 10:00 p.m., where officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot injuries. The police sprang into action, providing immediate medical treatment until the arrival of the Seattle Fire Department.
Investigators established that an altercation had preceded the shooting, during which the suspect fired at two victims. A private citizen, who is licensed to carry a firearm, then intervened and shot the assailant. All three were transported to Harborview Medical Center in a serious condition, but despite the doctors’ best efforts, the suspect succumbed to their wounds. The armed civilian has fully cooperated with the investigation and was interviewed by detectives at the Seattle Police Headquarters.
The scene of the shooting has been cordoned off as a homicide and crime scene investigators meticulously process the area for evidence. The investigation remains underway as officials piece together the sequence of events leading to the tragic incident.
