Sonidos Del Summer is returning to the Historic Northside district, and it's shaping up to be a sizzling season of tunes and chill vibes for the folks in Fort Worth. If you're all about grooving to live music under the Texas sky, Marine Park is the spot you'll want to mark on your map this summer. The festivities are kicking off on May 10 with Verano Eterno, a bash celebrating the endless summer and tipping a hat to Latin music legends Jenni Rivera and Juan Gabriel, as detailed by the City of Fort Worth.
What's cooking, besides the Texan heat? The cookout comes with an Independence Day flavor on July 5, because apparently, one day of Fourth of July isn't enough, and who can argue with that logic? The music will keep spinning with Latin Express Band headlining what's dubbed an all-out block party. Then, when summer cools down, it's time to "bidi bidi back to the park" come September 13. The closer summons a night of Cumbia, with big beats courtesy of the Tejano Queen Forever tribute band and Chris Perez.
Oh, and if you're into more than just foot-tapping and hip-swaying, a festival market pulls out all the stops at 5 p.m. during each event. Expect to whet your appetite with a prelude of vendors and food trucks before the musical main course starts at 6 p.m., followed by the headliner at 8 p.m., as neatly laid out by the City News post.
