Green-thumbed locals can connect and share their love for horticulture at the free Plant Swap event in Plymouth. On Monday, June 2, from 4-6 p.m., the city will welcome plant enthusiasts to the Plymouth Maintenance Facility at 14900 23rd Ave. N, inviting participants to exchange perennials with fellow gardeners, as reported by the City of Plymouth's announcement.
Those wishing to partake should bring potted plants, preferably labeled with their common names. Seeds, tools, pots, books, and other plant-related items are also acceptable for swapping, as detailed by the City of Plymouth.
As a part of the community initiative, residents are encouraged to carefully look out for jumping worms, an invasive species that can harm local ecosystems. More details about these pests can be found on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website.
For those new to such events or seeking more information about the Plant Swap, inquiries can be directed to City Forester Paul Buck at 763-509-5944, as stated by the City of Plymouth.
