The Galt Police Department made an arrest in a wallet and identity theft case at a local business. The victim’s wallet was stolen, and the suspects used the stolen ATM and credit cards to make unauthorized transactions totaling over $1,000 at different locations in Elk Grove, as reported by the Galt Police Department.
Using surveillance technology, authorities identified Desiree Knobloch, a 32-year-old resident of Galt, and apprehended her the following morning. The remaining suspects have been identified but are still at large. The investigation is ongoing, as stated by the Galt Police Department.
According to the Galt Police Department's Facebook page, during her arrest, Knobloch was found with stolen items, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail and faces charges of identity theft, petty theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
