
A tragic incident unfolded in Galveston as a 23-month-old girl lost her life after an accidental drowning in a pool, CW39 reported. The toddler was found unresponsive in a pool at a residence on Colony Park Circle, a detail also confirmed by KHOU. The Galveston Police Department is currently investigating this matter to determine the full sequence of events leading to the devastating outcome.
According to the Galveston Police Department report, the incident took place on Thursday around 6 p.m., and the Galveston police officers when they arrived at the scene they found the child's caretaker attempting life-saving measures before first responders took over, a sequence of events that unfolded in a neighborhood near the intersection of 69th Street and Seawall Boulevard. The young girl was then transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galveston where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead the following morning, as reported by KHOU.
The young girl’s name has not been released yet, as the investigation is still ongoing. Galveston Police Department are still collecting evidence and trying to understand what happened, as per KHOU.
