The Gastonia Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at A&P Food Mart, with surveillance images capturing the man in question. The incident, which has brought concern to the local Linwood Road community, took place on the evening of April 17, just after 6 p.m. According to QC News, the police have described the suspect as "a light-skinned black man with a white beard who tends to walk with a limp."
Gastonia Police are releasing the surveillance photos in the hope that it will assist the community in providing information to help identify and locate the suspect. "If you recognize anything about him, or perhaps his clothing, call Crimestoppers. You will be eligible for a reward, and you'll stay anonymous," stated the Gastonia Police Department in a social media post.
