Governor Greg Abbott announced the appointment of Ronnie Anderson as the new president of the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors. Alongside this appointment, Abbott has reappointed Charles “Ed” Boulware and Mark Micheletti for additional terms on the board. Both Boulware and Micheletti have been designated to serve until October 16, 2027, as per a press release from the Governor's office.
The San Jacinto River Authority, tasked with the development, conservation, and protection of the water resources in the San Jacinto River Basin, will continue to be shaped by the expertise of these individuals. Boulware, a Texas A&M University graduate, brings decades of experience from Shell Oil Company to the board, and Micheletti, formerly of Berkeley Eye Center, holds past roles in economic development and commerce within the Lake Houston area.
Ronnie Anderson, now at the helm of the board, is poised to leverage his comprehensive background from his tenure at Community Resource Credit Union and his civic engagement in the Baytown community. Anderson's previous involvement as a Baytown City Councilman and his dedication to local economic development initiatives offer insights likely to be advantageous in his new role. These appointments, while confirmed by the Governor, are still subject to Senate confirmation.
