Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office apprehended a man in an unsettling case of kidnapping and assault in Harris County on Monday. The incident, which occurred in the 14600 block of Keystone Green Drive, involved suspect Bryson Kalua who, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, illegally detained and attacked a victim over several days. The situation came to light after authorities were alerted to threats Kalua made against the complainant.
Upon arrival, deputies were able to detain Kalua without incident and initiate a thorough investigation, which revealed that the victim had been prevented from leaving the house or communicating with anyone for an undetermined number of days, she also sustained multiple assaults along with being strangled by Kalua. Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Facebook page detailed the grim narrative of confinement and violence that unfolded within the quiet suburban backdrop.
"Bryson Kalua was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Kidnapping and Assault/Strangulation," Constable Mark Herman declared, the accused's bond set at a substantial sum of $60,000.00, mirrored in the severity of the charges that Kalua now faces in the 230th District Court, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
