Authorities said a vehicle parked at Vereb Funeral Home in Harrison Township has been vandalized in what appears to be retaliation against the business owner's alleged actions. According to a CBS News report, a resident's car, unaffiliated with the funeral home, sustained damage from a baseball bat in the parking lot overnight between May 7th and 8th.
The Harrison Township Police Department took to social media to alert the community of the incident. The police post revealed that the resident in question had left their vehicle in the lot behind the funeral home. The funeral home has recently been embroiled in controversy after owner Patrick Vereb faced charges for a $650,000 pet remains scheme.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any information related to the vandalism.
