A tragic accident on the evening of May 9th claimed the life of a 57-year-old Hesperia man, Aaron Andreas, who was struck by a pickup truck while bicycling on East M-20 near South 176th Avenue in Newfield Township. According to mlive, the driver of the Chevrolet pickup, a 42-year-old man from Hesperia, initially thought he had hit a deer due to the darkness of the night; after stopping, he discovered the injured bicyclist along the road and urgently sought help from a nearby residence to call 911.
