The City of Hilliard's Community Relations Department recently received five PRism awards from the Central Ohio Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), as recognized at their ceremony last Thursday. These awards are part of an annual competition that draws entries from a variety of sectors in the central Ohio area and celebrates top-tier public relations achievements.
Competitors include leading corporations, agencies, nonprofit associations, and educational institutions. With its five awards, Hilliard's team has demonstrated excellence in categories ranging from marketing communications to the creative use of video. However, the city garnered more than just the volume of awards. Still, the diverse areas in which they excelled tell a story of versatility and skill within Hilliard's communications team.
A detailed breakdown of the accolades posted by The City of Hilliard's official website includes a PRism Award for "Marketing Communications – Consumer Products and Services" for the "Hilliard Paves the Path to The Well" campaign, and an Award for their E-Newsletter category that encompass both "Business Matters" and "Around Downtown". Furthermore, Hilliard's community outreach is acknowledged with an Award of Excellence for "Series Publications" through "Your Hilliard", and another for "Best Use of Video" with their "Hilliard Business 60" segment, along with commending their "Creative Tactics" for the "Path to The Well Roundabout Education Video".
David Ball, Director of Community Relations, expressed pride in his team's accomplishments, emphasizing the collective effort and creative initiative. "We’re incredibly proud to be recognized with these prestigious awards, which highlight the dedication, creativity, and collaboration of our team,” Ball stated in an announcement through the City of Hilliard's official website. "From keeping residents and businesses informed during a complex, multi-phase road project, to crafting targeted newsletters for our business community and magazines for our residents, our team exemplified its strength in teamwork."
Since its inception in 1950, the Central Ohio PRSA Chapter has been a pillar in the professional growth of public relations practitioners in Columbus. It now boasts a membership of more than 250 professionals from a diverse range of business environments.
