Hillsborough County is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Youth Excellence and Achievement Awards (YEA! Awards), which recognize middle and high school students for their accomplishments in leadership, overcoming adversity, and community service. Nominations will be accepted through August 15, as per the Hillsborough County release.
The awards feature three categories. The Leadership category honors one middle school and one high school student who have shown strong skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity through academics, extracurricular activities, or service. The Success Despite Difficult Odds category recognizes students who have made significant progress in their lives and impacted others while facing serious challenges. The Volunteer or Community Service award is for students who have dedicated their time to improving their communities through meaningful service efforts.
Residents are encouraged to nominate students by visiting Hillsborough County’s website, where the nomination form and detailed award descriptions are available.
