Earlier today, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office began a homicide investigation in Seffner after a man was found shot dead. Around 3:14 a.m., a 911 call came in reporting a shooting on the 100 block of Phillips Drive. Deputies were on scene within minutes, arriving at 3:17 a.m., to find an adult male with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Chad Chronister emphasized that efforts are underway to determine the details of the situation, "Violence has no place in our neighborhoods, and our detectives are committed to uncovering the full truth of what happened," Chronister declared in the press release.
