The Honolulu Police Department arrested a suspect in an attempted murder case. John Garside was arrested last Saturday in connection with the attack on a 23-year-old woman. The victim was found bleeding while walking along Tantalus Drive and was treated for a gunshot wound at The Queen's Medical Center. She is currently in stable condition, as reported by the Honolulu Police Department.
The incident began in the early hours on last Wednesday when police began an investigation after a victim was found injured. Police confirmed that Garside shot the victim after she refused his demand for sex. Before his arrest, Garside was considered armed and dangerous, and his location was unknown. Authorities asked the public to provide any information, as stated by the Honolulu Police Department.
According to the Honolulu Police Department on their Facebook page, the Homicide and Strategic Enforcement Detail arrested Garside near Vineyard Boulevard on the afternoon of last Saturday, ending a three-day search following a violent incident on Tantalus Drive. Garside was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Firearms Offenses.
