
The Houston Police Department is seeking help from the public to find 29-year-old Jose M. Torres, a suspect in a convenience store robbery earlier this year. He is wanted for aggravated robbery involving a deadly weapon, as reported by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
On January 12, at approximately 3:00 pm, a man entered a store in the 1300 block of Federal, Houston, Texas. The suspect accidentally dropped his handgun into his pants but quickly recovered it. He then demanded cash from the clerk and fired a shot inside the store. The suspect fled with a case of beer, possibly escaping in a white truck, according to the Houston Police Robbery Division.
Torres is a suspect in an aggravated robbery case, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on April 9. The warrant is under court 496th DC, with number 1911542. The Houston Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or through their website or mobile app. Information leading to an arrest may result in a reward of up to $5,000, and tipsters can remain anonymous, as stated by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
