According to a press release on the City of Houston's official news website, a 23-year-old man, identified as Cristian Tejada Tejada, was fatally injured while riding his motorcycle.

The report by HPD Vehicular Crimes Division noted that Tejada was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed, he struck a maroon Lexus RX350 traveling in the same direction, he was ejected from his bike and was subsequently hit by a silver Toyota Corolla which was heading northbound. After being transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, he was pronounced deceased which adds to the ongoing discourse on the safety of motorcyclists on our city streets.

Both drivers involved in the incident have cooperated with the police. The findings detailed in the City of Houston news release revealed that they remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and after questioning, they were released.
