An ongoing investigation hangs heavy over the 400 block of Tennessee Street, following the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man this past Sunday evening. According to the City of Houston News, the incident occurred roughly at 7:10 p.m. and the identity of the victim is still under wraps, pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Revelations about the case came to light as the shooter, a 35-year-old male who remained unscathed, turned himself in, subsequently providing a statement to the detectives. The Houston Police Department's patrol officers initially discovered the male victim lying in the street, wounded by a gunshot. First responders quickly rushed to desperately try and sustain life, transporting the victim to an area hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries, as reported by the City of Houston.
