Authorities in Houston are on the lookout for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred last weekend on South State Highway 6. At around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, a man named Ayodeji Abiola, aged 40, lost his life when a white Cadillac CTS allegedly struck him before fleeing the scene, according to the City of Houston.
The Houston Police Department provided details of the incident, describing how the Cadillac, along with a brown BMW 3 Series, were seen traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. The collision occurred when the Cadillac veered onto the right shoulder, hitting Mr. Abiola. After impact, traveling in motion, a male passenger from the Cadillac was either thrown or he jumped out of the vehicle, who was later taken to a nearby hospital in a critical condition, as reported by the City of Houston.
Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division, including Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Guzman, is still piecing together the chain of events that led to this tragic outcome. In an ongoing effort to seek justice and answers for the victim's family, the Houston Police Department is urging anyone with information about the white Cadillac CTS or the incident to come forward.
