
The Houston Police Department is calling for the public's assistance in tracking down an armed suspect linked to a recent robbery at a fast-food restaurant. According to a statement obtained by the Houston Police Robbery Division, the incident took place late at night on May 8, when an employee, conducting what should have been a routine task of taking the trash out, faced an unexpected threat.
At approximately 11:00 p.m., the employee reportedly found himself at gunpoint, compelled by an unknown male suspect to re-enter the restaurant located on the 7700 block of W. Bellfort in Houston, Texas. Walking back into the establishment, the suspect, described as a Black male, between 5'8" and 5'10" with a thin build, donning a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes, corralled the rest of the employees. The employees, as reported on Houston Police Robbery Division's website, were forced to open the cash registers and watched the suspect take the money from the drawers.
In an effort to pursue justice and prevent similar crimes, Houston Police are requesting assistance from the public. Information about the robbery and a description of the suspect has been released. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for tips that lead to the suspect’s arrest and/or formal charges.
