A theft occurred at a Target store located on the North Freeway earlier this week, leading to an arrest. The Precinct 4 Constable's Office reported that deputies responded to a shoplifting call at the 19511 North Freeway location on Sunday.
The incident, involving the theft of approximately $122 worth of merchandise, highlights a situation where a female suspect, identified as Kiara McDonald, allegedly concealed items and attempted to leave the store without paying. Loss prevention personnel quickly identified the theft.
Constables located McDonald shortly after the incident, and the items reported as stolen were recovered and returned to Target. The store may review its existing loss prevention procedures in response to the event.
McDonald was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a theft charge, according to information posted by Constable Mark Herman on the precinct’s social media. Her bond was set at $100.00 by County Court 6.
