Iredell County has announced that several government offices and services will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday next week, in observance of the holiday. According to the Iredell County's notice, closures include the Government Center, Tax Office, and other administrative departments.
Animal Services and Control will be closed, except for emergencies involving aggressive or injured animals. In such cases, residents should contact Emergency Communications at 704-878-5335. Public Health offices in Mooresville and Statesville will also be closed, including the Mobile Health Unit clinic.
All public libraries in Statesville, Harmony, and Troutman will be closed, as will the Register of Deeds Office. The Iredell County Area Transportation System (ICATS) will not operate buses, and its office will also be closed.
However, parks will remain open from dawn to dusk. The seasonal pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Recreation Center will operate with reduced hours, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Departments such as Social Services—including Child, Family, and Adult Services—and Veteran Services in both Mooresville and Statesville will not be available on Memorial Day. Emergency services will remain operational during the holiday.
