According to a post on JSO's Facebook page, the mother duck was in distress, "clearly quacked up and calling for help."
The officers, compelled to quickly act, lifted the heavy grate to safely scoop the baby bird from its perilous situation. As captured on the officers' body-worn cameras, the reunion between mother and offspring was nothing short of tender—a moment to likely soften even the most cynical hearts. "The best part?
