The Metropolitan Police Department has reported the arrest of a massage therapist charged with First-Degree Sexual Abuse, a case that raises issues of trust and safety in therapeutic settings. According to an official release, 42-year-old Andrew Ramirez, from Jefferson, MD, was taken into custody on Tuesday, following the issuance of a DC Superior Court arrest warrant connected to an incident that occurred on July 2, 2024, around 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue, Southwest.
The arrest follows allegations that Ramirez engaged in non-consensual sexual conduct with a client during a session in which he was expected to provide professional massage therapy services, as per a report by the Metropolitan Police Department.
