Kalāheo residents and visitors should expect changes to Kaua‘i Bus service on Saturday. These adjustments are due to the Kalāheo Guava Country Celebration parade, according to the County of Kauai.
The town is honoring Hālau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leināʻala and Jaedyn Janae Puahaulani Pavao, the 2025 Miss Aloha Hula. Due to this event, there will be detours and changes to bus stops from 1:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Routes 200 and 100 will skip the Puu Rd/Hokua Rd and Kalaheo Neighborhood Center stops at certain times. The Route 30 Koloa Shuttle will also change its route, starting at Brydeswood and ending at Koloa Rd./Horita Rd, as reported by the County of Kauai.
Road closures on Hokua Road, Pu’u Road, and Papalina Road will be in effect during parade hours. The parade route begins at Kalāheo Elementary School, proceeds up Pu’u Road, turns right on Papalina Road, and ends at the Kalāheo Neighborhood Center. Bus riders transferring from routes 100 or 200 to route 30 should disembark at Lawai Post Office or Across Lawai Post Office stops. For transit information, contact The Kaua‘i Bus at 808-246-8110 or [email protected]. For parade information, contact Randy Francisco at 808-635-4130, as stated by the County of Kauai.
