The County of Kauaʻi announced on its website that residential trash collection in parts of the Līhuʻe area will not be serviced on Wednesday due to a lack of staff. The notice, which was posted yesterday, stated, "The Solid Waste Division announces that due to a manpower shortage, residential collection in portions of the Līhuʻe area will not be serviced today." A phone number and email address were provided for residents to get updates or more information.
Residents affected by the trash pick-up delays in Līhuʻe, Wailua Homesteads, and parts of Kapa‘a are encouraged to stay informed by contacting the Solid Waste Division at 808-241-4841 or emailing [email protected].
