
Investigators are piecing together the details of a shooting in Kentwood that occurred yesterday, which left multiple vehicles and a home damaged. FOX17 reports that the Kentwood Police Department was called to the scene near Jacee Park and the 5700 block of Ridgebrook Avenue SE at around 4:45 PM. Upon arrival, officers discovered several shell casings and observed that the violence had left its mark on a residential property and several cars. There's an active search for suspects and potential victims, as none have been reported at the time.
While the details are few, the impact is apparent. WOODTV has shared that, thus far, authorities have not reported any injuries from the incident, and no arrests have been made. The Kentwood Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, as they seek to quickly piece together the events of the evening. The lack of reports of physical harm, however, does not minimize the disruption caused to the residents of Kentwood. The officers who arrived on the scene shortly after the incident found the neighborhood punctuated by the remnants of the altercation.
