Kirkland City Council meeting slated for May 6 at 7:30 p.m. is packed with key topics, including a possible extension for the Kirkland Urban project and the selection of a developer to breathe new life into the old Houghton Park and Ride with an ice-skating rink, restaurant, and community center, this according to an official announcement from the city's website.
The agenda also features an important discussion regarding the addition of a dedicated legal advocate for sexual assault victims, and a review of the proposed safety projects for the city's neighborhoods for 2025. All of this following a study session that will update attendees on the legal entanglements surrounding King County's Northeast Recycling and Transfer Station and the Juanita Bay Wildflower Pilot Project.
The Council meeting will be live-streamed on the City of Kirkland Facebook page, their YouTube channel, and the official City website. It will also be broadcast on local television channels for Comcast and Ziply customers
