A Lakeland man, who was serving as an assistant softball coach, has been arrested and charged with exchanging nude photos with a 16-year-old girl and possession of child pornography. Harold Tittle, aged 33, was taken into custody following a report from a relative of the teenager. According to the ABC Action News, the Polk County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the situation on April 25.
The investigation, which delved into the exchanges between Tittle and the underage girl, revealed that Tittle solicited nude pictures through Snapchat. He specifically requested images of the teen's buttocks and breasts, before the conversation escalated to more sexually explicit images and videos. WFLA News reports that, during an encounter with detectives, Tittle confessed to sending a nude image of himself to the girl and asking her for similar content in return.
Tittle also admitted to taking screenshots and recording at least one video of the images on Snapchat using another device, as per details from the sheriff's office. The images and video were retrieved from Tittle's phone. During the confession, Tittle acknowledged that he was aware the victim was 16 or 17 years old at the time of the exchanges and attributed his actions to "bad judgment."
While Tittle has recognized his involvement with this particular teenager, he denied having similar relationships with any other girls, as reported by WESH.
