The Nevada Department of Transportation will be replacing signage along parts of the highway, converting I-515 signs to I-11 markers from Henderson to Kyle Canyon Road. Lane reductions will occur on northbound I-15, from Oakey Blvd to the US 95/US 93/I-11 interchange, on select nights starting on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Updates are available on the Nevada Department of Transportation website.
The Nevada Department of Transportation is working to improve the travel infrastructure in the Las Vegas Valley. There will be closures at the Neon Gateway HOV on-ramps to north and southbound I-15, as well as the Charleston Blvd on-ramp to northbound I-15 on select nights. The contractor is limited to a 5-mile work radius each night to minimize disruptions. Schedules may change due to weather, and updates can be found on Nevada Department of Transportation’s traffic information outlets at dot.nv.gov or by calling (775) 888-7000.
The change from I-515 to I-11 is part of a plan to improve north-south travel and support commerce in Nevada and the Intermountain West. This change was officially designated by the Federal Highway Administration in November 2023. The new I-11 signage aims to improve the movement of goods and regional economies. While the switch may cause some delays, alternate routes can help with travel.
