The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in a container at a business on North 3rd Street. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the body was discovered on Tuesday following a report of a strong odor coming from the container.
Officers arriving at the scene found a body inside a metal container. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department assigned the case to its Homicide Section to investigate. The suspect, 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo, died the day before in an unrelated high-speed chase with the Utah Highway Patrol. Detectives identified Joseph Del Rivo as a suspect after his death.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the victim or the cause and manner of death.
