
The Las Vegas Raiders have signed multi-year extensions with Pro Bowl punter AJ Cole and kicker Daniel Carlson. According to News 3LV, Cole’s contract is for four years and guarantees $11 million, with the total value potentially reaching $15.8 million. This makes him the highest-paid punter in the league.
AJ Cole posted on X, saying, "raider nation for life !!!!!" He has been named a Pro Bowler in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Last season, he averaged 50.8 yards per punt, ranking second in the league and tied for eighth all-time, as reported by News 3LV.
Carlson has earned four AFC Special Teams Player of the Week awards and the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month honor in 2020. Since joining the Raiders, he has appeared in 56 games, making 96 of 112 field goals and 126 of 132 PATs, for a total of 414 points, as mentioned by Raiders. This season, Carlson has a 90% field goal completion rate. Cole has placed more than 41% of his punts inside the 20-yard line. Both players have been important contributors to the Raiders’ special teams.
