League City officials have scheduled a special City Council meeting for this upcoming Tuesday, May 13, at 5:30 p.m. to canvas the results from the May 3 Special Election. As announced by the city, following the special session, at 6 p.m., the council will proceed with its regular meeting. Locals who prefer the convenience of digital participation can stream these meetings live through the City's Facebook page or watch on Comcast Channel 16, which also replays the meetings daily at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Citizens keen on voicing their opinions during the council meetings are obliged to register in advance. The signup sheet placed outside the council chambers must be filled out before the start of the gathering. The city’s guidelines stipulate that during Public Comment, "residents are required to state their first and last name and home address." The statements will be incorporated into the Citizens' Request For Hearing Before City Council section, as per the City of League City.
Regular council meetings are a staple event occurring at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. They're hosted within the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, situated at 200 W. Walker St. For those interested in local governance or wishing to stay informed on municipal decisions, the meetings are open to public attendance.
