The City of Lewisville is putting on a music-filled extravaganza every Tuesday night, where attendees can revel in the nostalgia of the '70s and '80s greatest hits. Fans are in for a treat on May 13 with Waterloo – A Celebration of ABBA making their series debut at Wayne Ferguson Plaza. Following suit is the ultimate disco cover band, Disco Inferno, set to seriously ignite the crowd with their renditions of classic disco tracks, as per the City of Lewisville.
The concert series lines up a stellar list of tribute acts, including The Chicago Xperience and The Zeppelin Project, both honoring the legacy of the original artists who performed at the storied Texas International Pop Festival in 1969. The outdoor concerts kick off at 7 p.m., with the headliners taking the stage promptly at 8 p.m. to keep live entertainment rolling until 9:30 p.m.
True to family-friendly form, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a cozy experience under the open skies of Lewisville. For those planning to bring along their furry friends, well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome. Foodies and beverage buffs won't go thirsty or hungry – a variety of food and drink options will be ready to quickly satisfy all cravings on site. Wayne Ferguson Plaza serves not only as a concert venue but a community melting pot, donning an interactive splash pad, a garden, and a multi-level seating area that encapsulates the modern city vibe.
