The Lewisville Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect identified in connection with a firearm discharge incident that occurred in March. On the morning of March 17, around 9:04 a.m., a male suspect discharged a weapon at a residence on Kingston Drive, as per a social media post by the department. In what might be considered a stroke of luck, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued for 18-year-old Andrew Messiah Grimaldo, who police named as the suspect. The arrest was not directly related to the March event but occurred in Mesquite on Monday for an offense not connected with the shooting. According to the Lewisville Police Department, Grimaldo is being held at the Dallas County Jail, with a bond set at $10,000 for the Deadly Conduct charge.
The police have not provided details on the motive behind the shooting or if the targeted residence was involved in an ongoing dispute.
