Los Angeles residents might want to keep their umbrellas at hand as the city is facing a series of partly cloudy days with sporadic chances of rain, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 20 percent chance of showers after 11:00 a.m. today with temperatures predicted to hit a high near 86 degrees.

Tonight's outlook also includes a 20 percent chance of rainfall and clouds hanging overhead as the low dips to around 65. Winds are expected to shift, moving from west southwest at 5 to 10 mph to southeast after midnight. Alongside the sporadic rain, Sunday could see a high of around 80 degrees with mostly cloudy conditions, and new precipitation amounts might yield less than a tenth of an inch, said the National Weather Service in a statement.

The early part of the week will usher in mostly sunny skies by Monday with a cooler high near 75, and south-southwest winds that could occasionally gust as high as 15 mph. As the city enters Tuesday, locals can look forward to similar conditions with a high around 73 and continued mostly sunny skies.

For those with an eye on the night sky, the evenings will start to see patchy fog rolling in by Thursday night, adding an element of mist to the landscape while the daytime maintains its mostly sunny disposition, with highs trending upwards towards 77 degrees. It will remain mostly unchanged into the following Friday, with temperatures expected to climb to a high near 79, as per the forecast.
