As Memorial Day approaches, residents and visitors in Los Angeles can expect a familiar dance of morning fog followed by gradual clearings throughout the week. A consistent southwest wind at 5 to 10 mph will keep things mild.
The evening will mirror the morning’s gray start, bringing patchy fog after 11:00 p.m., along with increasing clouds, and a comfortable low around 58. The southwest winds will take a turn, shifting east southeast after midnight. As for Tuesday, the trend continues; any early fog should dissipate before midday, with the sun pushing through to warm the city up to about 77 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday will offer little deviation from this pattern, according to the National Weather Service. Both days will have their share of morning fog before reaching midday highs in the mid-70s to 80. But as Thursday rolls into Friday, temperatures are expected to climb, with Friday's forecast predicting a high near 85 degrees.
Saturday’s high is expected to be around 82 degrees, with the weather taking a slight dip on Sunday to a high near 80. Nighttime throughout the week will consistently become shrouded in fog after 11:00 p.m. However, the lows will remain fairly steady, hovering in the low 60s.
