The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has wrapped up its investigation into a March altercation involving a Loveland City Council member that took place at Dwayne Webster Park. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, the Loveland Police Department referred the case to the Sheriff’s Office when it was discovered that a council member was among those involved in the dispute.
The incident, which sparked on March 29, led to a reported argument among several individuals, resulting in legal action. The County Sheriff’s Office collected evidence and conducted interviews before consulting with the Eighth Judicial District Attorney. The individuals, Lynn St. John, Alan Kujawa, Campbell Kujawa Black, and Dillon Kaiser, were each issued a summons for harassment, with their charges ranging from a class 1 to a class 2 misdemeanor.
What started as a public spat has now moved onto the legal stage, with the case now being referred to the District Attorney's Office for prosecution. However, as is typical in ongoing legal matters, the Sheriff’s Office has stated that it will release no further information at this time. The reported individuals firmly remain presumed innocent until they are proven guilty, a cornerstone principle of the American legal system.
