Harlem witnessed a chilling event yesterday night when a man was shot and killed on the sidewalk behind the 28th Precinct NYPD stationhouse. Found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head at approximately 11:40 p.m., the incident occurred at Frederick Douglass Blvd. near W. 123rd St., as per reports from New York Daily News.
The unidentified man was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Located behind the precinct, a shell casing was the sole piece of ballistic evidence recovered, suggesting the shooting took place close by. Police are continuing their efforts to shed light on both the identity of the victim and the circumstances that led to this violent act as stated by AM New York.
