Tragedy struck early Tuesday in Auburn as gunshots rang out near a preschool and Green River College, leaving one man dead. The Auburn Police Department confirmed the shooting occurred along SE 323rd St, where KOMO News reported officials spent hours investigating the scene, marked by crime scene tape and a trail of evidence.
According to The Seattle Times, no suspects have been identified or located. The aftermath of the shooting was evident from the multiple shell casings discovered on the ground outside a home. Police suspicions hint at the involvement of possibly multiple shooters, further complicating an already complex investigation.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, suffered gunshot wounds and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
