
A 47-year-old man was left in critical condition following a serious accident in Van Nuys on Friday, where he was trapped under a slab of marble. According to a CBS Los Angeles report, the incident took place around 9:19 a.m. near 16009 W. Arminta Street, prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Upon arrival, the first responders found that bystanders had already freed the man from beneath the marble. In an alarming state, the man was unresponsive, and life-saving measures were immediately undertaken by paramedics. A LAFD alert confirmed the man was transported to a local trauma center, where he was listed in critical condition.
The circumstances that led to him being trapped under the hefty slab remain unclear. The Los Angeles Fire Department has not released details regarding the identity of the man or the specifics of how the incident occurred.
