An arsonist who set fire to the Buckhead MARTA station in Atlanta is currently the target of a manhunt. According to the FOX 5 Atlanta report, the Atlanta Fire investigators find such a case to be rare and 'unusual'. Surveillance footage dated May 18 shows the arsonist, equipped with a blue duffel bag, entering the station around 10:30 a.m.
The individual was spotted entering an elevator with the bag, where "he took one of the cones that was outside the elevator, brought it inside, and maybe put the backpack on top of the cone, and then whatever he had in there to start the fire, that's what he used," Public Information Officer Anare Holmes told FOX 5 Atlanta. Holmes expressed relief that the incident did not result in any injuries. The suspect is described as a male, between the ages of 25 and 30, around 180 pounds, and a height ranging from 5’9" to 6’. The authorities remain concerned, as Anare Holmes mentioned, "We don't know if he will try this again," given that the suspect is still at large.

While specific details regarding the suspect's age and height were not highlighted by WSB-TV, they have announced that up to $2,000 is on the table for tips that can help resolve the case.
