A Marion County substitute teacher is in deeper legal trouble after additional charges were filed against her, following an arrest last week. The substitute, Dianely Torres, age 24, had previously been charged with nine counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors. Now, she faces two new counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation, as reported by WFTV.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office initially determined that Torres claimed to be "dating" a student and to engaging in sex acts with them. This escalating situation has brewed concern as detectives found that Torres sent nude photos and sexually explicit drawings to the student. According to details acquired by WESH, a School Resource Officer first became aware of the concerning behavior when a witness purportedly saw Torres massaging the juvenile victim's head as it rested in her lap, within her classroom at Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks.

The disturbing evidence compiled by detectives includes nine sexually explicit photos of the juvenile found on Torres' phone. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office also disclosed troubling past behavior, citing that Torres had been disciplined for messaging students on Discord's communication platform. This pattern of misconduct has led detectives to believe that there may be additional victims. Torres is currently held at the Marion County Jail without the possibility of bail.
