Maui's War Memorial Stadium football field and the Satoki Yamamoto Track and Field will be closed starting June 20, 2025, for upgrades. The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation says the project is expected to take about a year and finish in summer 2026.
The planned renovations will address both structural issues and visual updates. According to the County of Maui, the work will include "minor structural repairs, waterproofing and repainting of existing facility structures," and the replacement of "football field goals, scoreboard, public address system and deteriorated utility equipment." The parking lot will stay open to the public during the project.
