McKinney's own Deputy Liam Sartor was in the limelight at the recent American Legion Otho Morgan Post 17's First Responder Awards Banquet, where he was recognized not once, but twice as the 2025 National Guard of the Year. As per a social media announcement from the Collin County Sheriff's Office, both the local post and the 4th District, Department of Texas, bestowed this honor upon Sartor.
Sartor's accolades are a testament to his dual role as a Collin County deputy and as a member of the Texas Army National Guard, maintaining a balance of serving the community and the nation, a feat which, by all accounts, is as challenging as it is noble, the Collin County Sheriff's Office praised him for his exceptional leadership, commitment, and service, "Deputy Sartor serves Collin County with dedication and heart, both in uniform here at home and with the Texas Army National Guard," their statement read.
