Medford residents and commuters, brace yourselves for a slew of lane and road closures between May 4th and May 15th, courtesy of infrastructure upgrades and essential repairs around the city. An update on the City of Medford's official website details a range of nighttime and daytime disruptions affecting various arteries across our urban landscape.

For late-night drivers, Springbrook Road will see northbound lanes reconfigured for Hunter Communications' fiber cabinet installation from May 4-7, and there will be a water valve repair by the Medford Water Commission on Corona Avenue at Morrow Road to muddle through from May 5-15; these are only two examples of the numerous projects you’re going to want to stay clear of if you're trying to avoid unexpected delays during the dates above. In a case of industrial inconvenience, lanes along West Main Street, Dove Lane, and Kings Highway will be reshuffled to accommodate a gas main repair by Avista Utilities and storm line rehabilitation by SAK crews, respectively.

It’s not just lane closures the city’s alerting us to, but also complete road shutdowns. Notably, Biddle Road and Morrow Road will force northbound travelers to re-route due to a sanitary sewer main line replacement by Central Pipeline Inc. during the nights of May 5-6. While the crews will undoubtedly be hard at work, the pavement beneath our tires will be off-limits, and for a period, Monterey Drive and Angelcrest will each have a day where the road is entirely closed while City crews repair the pavement.
