Clark, who was killed while responding to a violent incident that left four dead and a Federal Probation Officer wounded, the Memphis Police Department reported. According to the social media post by the Memphis Police Department, during the attempt to apprehend the armed suspect, Officer Clark was fatally shot after a bullet pierced the wall of a house he had taken cover behind. The suspect, armed with a 30-30 rifle and already responsible for multiple casualties, was subsequently killed by officers after emerging from a house he had barricaded himself in.
The confrontation between Officer Clark and the suspect was brief yet fatal. Clark managed to shoot the suspect in the shoulder before seeking cover, only to be struck by the fatal round.
