
The Memphis Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting in East Memphis that occurred on April 6, where one person was killed after being gunned down at the intersection of Knight Arnold Road and Mendenhall Road. According to Action News 5, the incident took place at approximately 7:08 p.m., with the victim being transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition before succumbing to their injuries.
The authorities have released information on a suspect vehicle, described as a blue Hyundai Tucson, seen speeding away from the crime scene eastbound on Knight Arnold Road. The same vehicle was noted for having exhaust problems, with large amounts of smoke being emitted upon acceleration. "As this is an ongoing investigation, if you have information, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH," urges the MPD in a statement obtained by Action News 5.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting, and the hunt for the suspect or suspects continues. Local Memphis reports that photos of the suspect's blue Hyundai Tucson have been released to aid the public in identifying the individuals responsible for this violent act.
