The Mesquite Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a recent theft and vehicle burglary at Fitness Connection on Town East Boulevard. The individual in question is accused of stealing a backpack from the establishment's locker room before proceeding to break into the victim's car parked outside.
Authorities have released an image of the suspect, who was last spotted donning an Oakland A's baseball cap. They have yet to fully piece together the sequence of events that transpired, but the image provided is hoped to quickly initiate recognition from the public. The Mesquite Police Department has appealed for anyone with information to step forward and assist in the case by either emailing [email protected] or calling 972-216-6253.
In the image shared through a social media post, the suspect appears to be a male of undisclosed age and has been described only by his apparel at the time of the crime. While the suspect remains at large, the local community is on high alert, cognizant of the potential threat to personal property in public spaces.
