The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the community for help in tracking down two individuals linked to a recent armed robbery in Northwest Washington. The crime took place last Tuesday, April 29, when the suspects reportedly approached the victims on the 800 block of H Street, brandishing guns and demanding belongings.
According to the MPD's announcement, the confrontation escalated quickly, with one of the victims being assaulted. The robbers managed to quickly snatch money before fleeing the scene. Police are now sharing surveillance photos in hopes that members of the public may recognize the suspects.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or who can identify the individuals responsible is strongly encouraged to get in touch with the authorities. However, the MPD urges that no one should directly approach the suspects but should instead contact the police. The Department has put forth a reward offer of up to $10,000—information leading to the arrest and conviction could earn someone this substantial sum.
